Virginia Schumacher, 95, of Jefferson City, passed away Thursday, September 29, 2011, at Jefferson City Manor Care Center. She was born February 19, 1916, in O'Fallon, a daughter of the late Millard Andrew and Viola Mary (Kessler) Barebo. On November 23, 1938, she was united in marriage in St. Charles, to Roy Edward Schumacher, who preceded her in death in 1986. She worked as a Real Estate Agent at Century-21. She was Assistant Clerk for the Christian Science Church, where she was also Music Chairman and Sunday School Teacher. In her early years, Virginia had her own radio show at St. Louis University, where she sang popular and semi-classical music. She is survived by a daughter: Elizabeth V. Craig of Mission, Kansas; one grandson: Jonathan W. Fields of Shanghai, China; one niece and one great-nephew. She was preceded in death by one sister: Mildred Sebacher; and one brother: Hally Lee Barebo. Graveside Services were held at Riverview Cemetery on Saturday, October 1, 2011.
