Wesley Hase (Veteran)

Wesley E. "Wes" Hase, age 80, of St. Petersburg, Fla., passed away Friday, November 4, 2011, at his residence. Born in St. Louis, Wes graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia (1955) and married Donna Pritchett of Jefferson City on December 27, 1955, at First Baptist Church. He played the String Bass in the Jefferson City Symphony where Donna played oboe. They moved to Nashville, Tenn. in 1960 to work as a Cost Controller for Avco and then to St. Pete Beach, Fla. in 1976 where Wes become Partner and Controller for the Breckenridge Resort Hotel. He served in the U.S. Air Force and then retired as a Lt. Col. from the Tennessee Air National Guard after 20 years. Wes is survived by his wife of 55 years, Donna Pritchett Hase and four sons: Christopher (Julie), Virginia Beach, Va., David (Dorota), Joppatown, Md., Bill (Polina), Davidson, N.C., and Steve (Ashley), Greensboro, N.C.; and eight grandchildren: Jennifer, Elizabeth, Steven Wesley, Shannon, Peter, Andrew, Michael, and Sasha. Wes was preceded in death by his father, Elmer, his mother, Alice Webster, and grandson, Allen. The Hase family celebrates Wes' eternal homecoming after finishing the race.
