Hattie Deoma Kirk, 90, formerly of Belton, Mo., passed away Sunday, November 6, 2011, at Heisinger Bluffs in Jefferson City, Mo. The first of seven children, she was born to Roy and Georgia Conn on December 9, 1920, in Oak Grove, La. She married Warren Kirk in 1939, and became an Air Force wife. Hattie became a Christian as a youngster and has been a member of the First Baptist Church of Belton for 52 years. Left to mourn her passing are four sisters, Georgia Sims of Wieser, Idaho, Kathryn Long of Clinton, Ark., Margaret Ware of Gunbarrel City, Texas and Betty Ebarb of Sweetwater, Texas; one brother, Roy Conn of Mabank, Texas; one son, Warren Kirk Jr. (Margaret) of Independence, Mo.; three daughters, Rosalyn Corsaut (Royce) of Belton, Karyl Allen (Ron) of Eugene, Ore., and Royce Schreiber (Chris) of Jefferson City; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson. She will also be sadly missed by many nieces, nephews, her dear church family, and many friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and one sister, Lois Lee The services will be held at First Baptist Church, 810 S. Cedar in Belton, Mo., on Friday, November 11, with visitation beginning at 10:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Compassus Hospice in Jefferson City, or the hospice of your choice, as these people are surely angels of mercy.
