Eva Marie Unruh, 97, of Holts Summit, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011, in the Alzheimer's Unit at Golden Living Center in Jefferson City. She was born May 6, 1913, in Neosho, the daughter of Tom and Mary Ellen (Thomas) Martin. She was united in marriage on September 9, 1933, in Jefferson City to Harry Unruh. He preceded her in death. Eva was a very active member of Union Hill Baptist Church where she was a member of the Willing Workers Sunday School Class. She was involved in 4-H. She found the most pleasure in being around her family and children. She worked at Oberman Manufacturing for 20 years before becoming a child care provider for 34 years retiring at age 84. Eva is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Puckett and husband Charles of Holts Summit and Donna U. Brown of Jefferson City; four grandchildren, Aaron (Julianne) Fleming, Shannon (Luciane) Brown, Ryan (Ardith) Brown and Amanda Brown; and four great- grandchildren, Aidan Fleming, Katelyn Fleming, Simon Brown and Henry Brown. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and six brothers and sisters, Leah Coonce, Ruth Ewing, Floyd Martin, Glenn Martin, Gay Martin and Ray Martin. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, March 31, 2011, at Union Hill Baptist Church in Holts Summit with Reverend G. Dale Norfolk and Brother Frank Whitney officiating. Burial will follow in Summit Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 from 4 until 7 p.m. at the church.
