Herman Cordway

Herman Cordway, 60, of Turlock, Calif., passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2011. Herman was born November 6, 1950, to Calvin and Elizabeth Cordray, of Jefferson City, formerly of Morrison. He attended Osage R-1 in Chamois, then attended Central Missouri State College in Harrensburg for two years. Then he joined the Army, after which he returned and graduated in 1975. Herman was married to Tam Zinger on March 11, 1972, in Wilton, Iowa. He was employed with Purina Mills for 23 years and a bird seed company of Ceres, Calif., for 11 years as a general manager. He was baptized into Christ December 25, 1960, at the Oklahoma Church of Christ. Along with his parents and wife, he is survived by two daughters, Callie and her husband Yann LeRenard and Lacy Cordray and her fiancÈ Marco Fossati; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Doug Wheeler, Debbie and Tim Bardwell and Janice and Barry Whiteside. Memorial service and visitation will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 20, at the Capitol West Christian Church, 1308 Fairgrounds Rd., Jefferson City, MO. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Capitol West Christian Church Building Fund.
