Geralyn Marie Vanostran, age 47, of St. Elizabeth, passed away Sunday, March 13, 2011, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. She was born on March 6, 1964, daughter of the late, Harold Lewis and Alice Marie (Beuke) Kimball. Geralyn attended St. Peters School and later attended Helias High School where she graduated. She was employed at Red Oak Inn near Tuscumbia and was previously employed at Veit's Restaurant in Jefferson City. Geralyn was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth. She is survived by four children, Stacia M. Kimball, Angela M. Vanostran, Samuel R.L. Vanostran, and Matthew J.L. Vanostran, all of St. Elizabeth; two grandchildren, Lauren M. Struemph and Jace H. Struemph both of St. Elizabeth; and special friend, Bobby Oligschlaeger of St. Elizabeth. She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Sharon Kimball. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, March 16, at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in St. Elizabeth. Rev. Daniel Lueckenotte will officiate. A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, March 16, at St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery near Bland. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m., with a prayer service at 7 p.m., on Tuesday, March 15, at the St. Elizabeth Community Center. Arrangements are under the direction of Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in St. Elizabeth. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Geralyn Vanostran Memorial Fund.
