Mrs. Lucille I. Knaup, age 84 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Sunday, February 27, 2011, at the Golden Living Center. Lucille was born March 23, 1926, in Centerville, Mo., the daughter of Walter and Emma Lutz Ruble. She was married on May 25, 1945, in Centerville, Mo., to John H. Knaup, who preceded her in death on September 17, 2000. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Lucille graduated from Centerville High School. A homemaker, she was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Lucille enjoyed caring for and being with family. Survivors include: one son, John Knaup and his wife Linda of California, Mo.; one daughter, Mary Kay Belongia and her husband Robert of Kenosha, Wis.; one sister, Faye Sencibaugh and her husband Pud of Cuba, Mo.; and two grandchildren, Jason Belongia and Jennifer of Oklahoma and Jonathan Belongia of Kenosha, Wis. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Virgil "Bud" Ruble, Vernon "Ted" Ruble, and Elmer Lee "Doc" Ruble; two sisters, Betty Hunter and Billie Taunt; and one grandson, John D. Knaup on May 2, 2005. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2011, in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Dr. Stephen Buchholz officiating. Interment will be at the Elston Cemetery, Elston, MO. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to charity of their choice.
