Cornelia Strobel

Cornelia M. Strobel, 87, of rural Concordia, Mo., died Friday, June 17, 2011, at the Lutheran Nursing Home in Concordia. Born October 29, 1923, in Lohman, Mo., she was the daughter of the late Edward Linsenbardt and Viola Schubert Linsenbardt. She was a 1943 graduate of Jefferson City High School. On November 24, 1945, she married Leo J. Strobel who survives of the home. She moved to rural Concordia in 1957, moving from Russellville, Mo. She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. In addition to her husband, she is survived by two sons, Richard E. Strobel and wife Linda and Bruce G. Strobel and wife Alice, all of rural Concordia; six grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one sister, Mathilda Kiesling of Jefferson City, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Concordia, with Rev. R. Lee Hagan officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at Campbell-Lewis Funeral Home in Concordia. Burial will be in St. Paul's Lutheran Cemetery.
