Mrs. Pauline A. McClenathan, age 90 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Wednesday, June 8, 2011, at Villa Marie. She was born September 24, 1920, in Freeburg, Mo., a daughter of Joseph C. and Catherine T. Kloeppel Wilde. She was married in 1962, in St. Louis, Mo. to William Ahern who preceded her in death in 1979. In October, 1984, she married Lauren McClenathan who preceded her in death in March, 2010. A resident of the Jefferson City area since 2000, Pauline was the chief bookkeeper for the Aluminum Workers International Union in St. Louis, Mo. She was a member of the Cathedral of St. Joseph; the Auxiliary of the B.P.O. of Elks; and the Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 2693. Pauline enjoyed gardening, dancing, cooking, and was an avid traveler. She loved animals, especially her pet poodles, and also loved spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include: one step-daughter, Patty Belle of Seattle, Washington; two step-sons, Cart McClenathan of West Virginia and Gary McClenathan of Rhode Island; one brother, Raymond Wilde and his wife Sophia of Koeltztown, Mo.; 15 nieces and nephews, and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by four sisters, Margaret Even, Leona Dee, Theola Noblett, and Eleanor Wilde; and one brother, Alphonse Wilde. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 11:00 until 12:00 noon Saturday. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon Saturday, June 11, 2011, in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Benjamin Nwosu officiating. Graveside services and interment will be held at 2:30 p.m., Saturday, at the Holy Family Cemetery in Freeburg, Mo. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Cathedral of St. Joseph.
