Wanda M, Lepper, 78, of Jefferson City, passed away Monday, July 25, 2011, in the comfort of her daughter's home. She was born January 27, 1933, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of the late Robert Ross and Virginia Gordon Dixon. She was united in marriage to Willard Anton Lepper, who preceded her in death on January 25, 1990. Wanda attended Seventh Day Adventist Elementary School, Jefferson City, and Oak Park High School in Iowa. She was a homemaker most of her life but was also employed with Sunlite Laundry, Overmans, Fashion Cleaners, Charles E. Still Hospital and Magraws. She enjoyed gardening, flowers, church activities, crocheting, pets and spending time with family. She was also a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. She is survived by one daughter: Penny Mae Lepper Heckerman of Jefferson City; one sister: Virginia Pearl Dixon Rodman and husband Howard of Marshfield; three grandchildren: Derreck S. Gardner of Jefferson City, Keith A. Gardner of Jefferson City, and Willard W. Gardner of Russellville; and seven great-grandchildren. Along with her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Carl Warren Lepper. Friends will be received from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Thursday, July 28, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Pastor Neil Dye officiating. Interment will follow in the Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the Children's Dream Factory or Hospice Compassus.
