Roy John Bosch, 83, of Fulton, Missouri, passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2011, at Fulton Nursing and Rehab and went home to be with Jesus after a long illness. He was born March 28, 1927, in Jefferson City, Missouri, the son of the late Andrew and Ida (Mueller) Bosch. On May 26, 1950, he was united in marriage to Edith (Kemp) Bosch who survives at their home. Roy attended New Bloomfield Schools. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He worked several years for Moore Trucking Company, then went to work for Danuser Machinery Company. After his retirement from Danuser Machinery Company, he enjoyed a second career as a charter bus driver, traveling all over the United States. Roy was a member of Ebenezer Baptist Church where he lovingly served for a number of years as a Trustee. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and loved spending time with his family. He enjoyed watching sports and going fishing, especially with his son-in-law. In addition to his wife of 60 years, he will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by one daughter, Rhonda Case and her husband, Fred, New Bloomfield, Missouri; two granddaughters, Amanda Case Toebben, Holts Summit, Missouri and Melissa Case, Murphysboro, Illinois; four great-granddaughters, Shelby Burnett, Holts Summit, Missouri, Amaya, Kamari and Taliyah Travis, Murphysboro, Illinois; three sisters, Gladys Payne, Lorene Craighead and Ruth Franklin, all of Fulton, Missouri; three sisters-in-law, Patty Kemp, Tebbetts, Missouri, Ruby Underwood and her husband, Tom, Mokane, Missouri and Dora Potts and her husband, Tommy, Fulton, Missouri; several cousins; and many nieces, nephews, great- nieces and great-nephews. His parents, one sister, Irene Masek and one brother, Harold Bosch preceded him in death. A celebration of Roy's life will be 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 29, 2011, at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Fulton, Missouri, with Reverend W. D. Lockhart officiating. Visitation will be from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Friday, January 28, 2011, at Maupin Funeral Home in Fulton, Missouri and 10:00 a.m. until service time Saturday at the church. Interment will be held at Ebenezer Cemetery.
