MaryAnn Carroll

MaryAnn Carroll, 68, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, January 18, 2011, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born January 25, 1942, in St. Louis, a daughter of the late George S. and Eleanore (Abramczyk) Kuehl. She was a graduate of Incarnate Word Academy in St. Louis, and went on to attend St. John's School of Nursing. On August 16, 1961, she was united in marriage in St. Louis, to Ronald F. Carroll, who survives at their home. MaryAnn worked for Carroll-Rehma Motors for over 30 years and worked as a parts runner and later on in outside public relations. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church, Meadow Lake Acres Country Club, the Meadow Lake Acres Women's Golf Association, and the Women's Swingsters Bowling League. She was passionate about crocheting and touched countless individuals with her gift. She was an avid golfer and also enjoyed reading and fishing. Along with her husband Ronald, MaryAnn is also survived by two sons, Ronald E. Carroll (wife Nancy) of Jefferson City, and Mike Carroll (wife Doris) of Jefferson City; one daughter, Colleen Kraus (husband John) of Jefferson City; six grandchildren, Megan Kraus, Britni Kraus, Kayla Carroll, Clay Carroll, Tyler Bethards, Shelby Bethards; two brothers, George J. Kuehl (wife Eileen) of Memphis, Tenn., and James Kuehl (Diana Bollinger) of Farmington; and one sister, Lillian Ryan of St. Louis; and numerous nieces, nephews and great friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert E. Kuehl, and Richard A. Kuehl; and one brother-in-law, Daniel L. Ryan. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday, January 21, 2011, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, with a prayer service to be held at 3:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 22, 2011, at St. Peter Catholic Church, with Fr. J. David Maher officiating. Entombment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery Mausoleum.
