Larry Redus

Larry Dale Redus, age 60, of Eldon, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2011, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City, after an one and a half year battle with lung cancer. He was born in Malden, in a smokehouse, on February 10, 1951. He was the son of Clarence and Opal (Brown) Redus. He was recently a building inspector for the Village of Four Seasons, prior to that he was in the construction industry. His hobbies included woodworking, fishing, and spending time with his family. He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Brenda Redus (Lynch); his children, Kathryn Belter (Redus) and her husband Robert, Lisa Westbrook (Lynch) and her husband Bert, Darrell Redus and his wife Kelli (Trinkle), and Jodie Cornett (Redus) and her husband Nick; his brothers and sisters, Marilyn Banks (Redus) and her husband Dave, Joanna Duff (Redus) and her husband Tim, Steve Redus and his wife Kim (Tibbetts), and Dirke Redus and his wife Barb (Berendzen); and three grandchildren, Devin Redus, Amanda Westbrook, and Brandon Westbrook. He was preceded in death by his mom, Opal Redus; and his son, Danny Redus. There will be a graveside service at Mount Zion Christian Church located in Tuscumbia on Hwy. 17 across from the Miller County Care Center at 4:00 p.m. today, Wednesday, February 23, 2011. This will be immediately followed by a celebration of life service at the same location. The funeral services at Mount Zion Christian Church are under the care of Hedges-Scott Funeral Home in Osage Beach.
