Ryan Fountain

Ryan Fountain, 29, of Eldon, Mo., passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. On June 30, 1982, he was born in Jefferson City, Mo., to Roger and Rita (Goepferich) Fountain. On May 25, 2010, he was married in Cancun, Mexico, to Brandy (Sash) Fountain. Those who survive: his wife, Brandy Fountain of Eldon, Mo.; his parents, Roger and Rita Fountain of Eldon, Mo.; his sister and brother-in-law, Camillia and Steve Naught of Eldon, Mo.; his grandparents, Eva Fountain of Eldon, Mo., and Zelda Gilbert; several nieces, nephews and cousins. His brother, Troy Fountain; and two grandfathers, Walter Fountain and Don Goepferich, preceded Ryan in death. Ryan graduated from Eldon High School in 2001, in the top 10% of his class. He volunteered and was a member of the alumni for Eldon FFA. He attended University of Missouri studying Agricultural Economics and graduated Cum Laude in 2005. At present, Ryan was serving as Alderman for the city of Eldon. He adored his wife, family and friends deeply. He loved his cattle and spending time on the farm. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and traveling. He lived by the motto, "Work hard, play hard." He will always be loved and missed by his family, friends and community. Visitation will be on Tuesday December 27, 2011, from 10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Eldon High School Gym, with the funeral service at 2:00 p.m., with Todd Shockley officiating.
