Margie Pendleton

Margie Pendleton, 73, of Holts Summit, passed away Friday, December 9, 2011, at her residence near Holts Summit. She was born on September 4, 1938, in Miller County, a daughter of Roscoe Viga and Bertha Mae (Lawson) Dake. Mrs. Pendleton was united in marriage on September 15, 1956, at Iberia, to Mark L. Pendleton, and to this union, four children were born. Mrs. Pendleton was a member of the Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ, Jefferson City, and had graduated from the State Fair Community College in 1982. She had worked for McGraw-Edison, the Department of Revenue and later was a respiratory therapist at St. Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City, until her retirement in 1997. Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Pendleton include: her husband, Mark L. Pendleton, of the home near Holts Summit; two sons, Stephen Ray Pendleton and Mark David Pendleton, both of Holts Summit; two daughters and sons-in-law, Diane Kay and Daniel (Danny) Prenger, Taos and (Debra) Debbie Jean and Ricky Kreisel, Centertown; four brothers, Charley Dake, St. Charles, Don Dake, Fort Worth, Texas, Tom Dake, Redlands, California, and Jim Dake, St. Charles; four sisters, Linda Wede, Moreno Valley, Calif., Gladys Thompson, Dixon, Lorene Burkhauser, Eagle Rock, Calif., and Gloria Martin, Vienna; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her father on April 11, 1983; her mother on December 20, 1940; her step-mother, Gussie Null Dake on March 15, 1974; one infant granddaughter, Jennifer Mary Prenger; one brother, Howard Dake; three sisters, infants Edith Dake and Evie Dake, and Lula Stephens; one step-brother, Harold Burnett; and two step-sisters, Louise Gilboy and Imogene Stone. Funeral services for Mrs. Pendleton will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2011, in the Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ, 1316 Fairgrounds Road, Jefferson City. Interment will be in the Union Cemetery near Iberia. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m., Monday, December 12, 2011, and 10-11 a.m., Tuesday, December 13, 2011, all in the Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ, Jefferson City. Memorial contributions are suggested per the wishes of the family. All arrangements are under the direction of the Vienna Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
