Tyler Baumbach

Tyler Blake Baumbach, age 18 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at Capital Region Medical Center after a courageous lifelong battle with Muscular Dystrophy. Tyler was born on November 19, 1992, in Jefferson City, Mo., a son of Keith C. Baumbach and Robin L. Walden. His father and step-mother, Keith and Dionne Baumbach survive in Gerald, Mo., and his mother and step-father, Robin and Rodney Walden survive in Jefferson City, Mo. A lifelong resident of Jefferson City, Tyler was a 2011 graduate of Jefferson City High School. He enjoyed browsing on his computer and playing games on his Playstation, riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and was a member of FFA, Future Farmers of America. Most importantly, he loved spending time with family and friends. Other survivors include: two brothers, Bryan Baumbach of Gerald, Mo. and Tyler Walden of Jefferson City, Mo.; two sisters, Aarika Snow of Gerald, Mo. and Amanda Werdehausen and Brad of Holts Summit, Mo.; paternal grandparents, Erwin and Beatrice Baumbach of Gerald, Mo. and Donnie and Betty Zeilmann of Canaan, Mo.; maternal grandmothers, Jackie Irwin of Holts Summit, Mo., and Jeannie Dates of Jefferson City, Mo.; his service dog and loyal companion, Mufasa; and several uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by his brother, Austin Lee Baumbach, on January 20, 2009; his grandfather, Phillip Dean Taylor; and his great-grandmother, Elsie Taylor. Visitation will be held at Freeman Mortuary from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Friday, August 19, 2011. A celebration of Tyler's life will be conducted at 6:00 p.m. Friday in the Freeman Chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Tyler Baumbach Memorial Fund or to the KSDS (Kansas Specialty Dog Service).
