Annie Louise Winnie, 75, of Dixon, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2011, in the St. Mary's Health Center, Jefferson City. She was born February 28, 1936, at Hayden, in Maries County, a daughter of Francis Stevson and Gaynel (Doyel) O'Halloran. Mrs. Winnie was united in marriage in 1987, to William M. Winnie, who preceded her in death on May 3, 2000. Mrs. Winnie accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and followed him in baptism early in life. At the time of her passing she was a member of the Ark of the Covenant Worship Center, Dixon. She had been a self-employed home health care provider for most of her working life as well as being a devoted housewife and homemaker. She enjoyed yard sales, walking and being with people and always had a willing heart. Mrs. Winnie especially enjoyed preparing and giving food baskets to people at Christmas who had a need. Those left to mourn the passing of Mrs. Winnie include one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Leigh Ann Eastman, Jefferson City; two grandchildren, Sheila Eads, Moberly, and Robert Eads, Fayette; one brother, Robert O'Halloran and companion, Cathy, Freeburg, Ill.; one sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Greg Taylor, Rockford, Ill.; and many other relatives and friends. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Dale T. O'Halloran, on June 3, 1968; and one infant sister, Della Mae O'Halloran, on June 20, 1937. Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Winnie at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011, in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes, with Rev. Dr. Donald Leggett officiating. Interment will be in the Kenner Cemetery near Dixon. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Friday, April 22, 2011, and 9 - 10 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011, in the Dixon Chapel of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes. Memorials are suggested to the Kenner Cemetery Perpetual Care Fund with envelopes available at the Dixon Office of the Birmingham-Martin Funeral Homes.
