Gladys Meier

Gladys Meier, 83, of Jefferson City, died Wednesday, April 6, 2011, at Golden Living Center. She was born January 29, 1928, in Jefferson City, a daughter of Otto F. and Savena (Muck) Meier. She was a graduate of Jefferson City High School. Gladys worked for Von Hoffmann Press for many years until her retirement. She was a charter member of Faith Lutheran Church, where she had been a member of the Evening Guild and Lutheran Laymen's League. Gladys also was a volunteer for Meals on Wheels and Heisinger Home. She is survived by two nephews, LeRoy Kerl of San Diego, Calif., and Jerry Crumpler of Malibu, Calif. She was preceded in death by a sister, Kathleen Kerl; and her husband, Leo; and a brother, Les Crumpler and wife Marge. Friends will be received from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m., Saturday, April 9, 2011, at Faith Lutheran Church, where funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Mike Gallagher officiating.
