Fayette Hopkins

Mrs. Fayette Hopkins, age 78 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Monday, April 4, 2011, at the University Hospital, Columbia, Mo. Fayette was born August 20, 1932, in Jefferson City, Mo., the daughter of Cecil and Bessie Anglin Loethen. She was married on September 23, 1955, in Council Bluffs, Iowa, to Richard Hopkins Sr., who preceded her in death on June 17, 1985. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Fayette attended Jefferson City Public Schools. Fayette was employed with Von Hoffmann Press and later with the Missouri Dept. of Revenue prior to her retirement in 1999. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. Survivors include: one son, Richard Hopkins Jr. of Jefferson City, Mo.; and two sisters, Margaret Raithel of Kansas City, Mo. and Patsy Holland of Holts Summit, Mo. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two brothers, Harry Loethen and Bobby Loethen; and two sisters, Nellie Woods and Bonnie Campbell. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Thursday, April 7, 2011. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 8, 2011, in the Freeman Chapel with Darlene Imler officiating. Interment will be in the Centertown Cemetery, Centertown, Mo.
