Glenn McKinney, 84, of Holts Summit, passed away Tuesday, October 12, 2010, at his home. He was born July 8, 1926, in Jefferson City, the son of Jessie Lloyd and Josie (Walker) McKinney. He married Florence Brandt on November 11, 1950, in Jefferson City. She survives at the home. Glenn is also survived by one daughter, Denise McKinney of Tyler, Texas; two brothers, Clarence McKinney of Warrenton and Billy McKinney of Holts Summit; two sisters, Erma Jean Loesch of Ava and Doris Moore of New Bloomfield; several nieces and nephews; and his faithful companion Buster the Dog. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Howard and Kenneth McKinney; and two sisters, Jewel Davis and Helen Frederick. He served in the Army during World War II. He worked for Jefferson City Bakery and McDonald Aircraft. Most of his working life was spent at Foristell Truck Stop which he co-owned with his brother. Above all, Glenn enjoyed helping his family. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, October 15, 2010, at St. Charles Memorial Garden in St. Charles, Mo., with Reverend Warren Huffiness officiating.
