Mr. Victor George Wilmsmeyer, age 95 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., passed away Tuesday, May 25, 2010. He was born February 22, 1915, in Hartsburg, Mo., the son of William and Minnie Vahrenburg Wilmsmeyer. He was married to Irene Offel on November 20, 1937, who preceded him in death on December 10, 1990. On April 6, 2002, he was united in marriage to Maxine Humphreys. Vic was an avid farmer all of his life in the central Missouri area. He loved the outdoors and truly enjoyed attending the area weekly senior dances and a good card game. He was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Holts Summit, Mo. Survivors include: his loving wife, Maxine Wilmsmeyer, of the home; three step-children and their families: Jim Humphreys and his wife Susan of Hannibal, Mo., Karen Scheidt and her husband Mike of St. Louis, Mo., and Barbara Belt and her husband David of Parkville, Mo.; a nephew, Richard Woods, and five nieces, Helen Bouck, Ruth Barnes, Mary Salmons, Susie Butcher, and Anna Allen; and numerous great-nephews and great-nieces and their families; and many friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Herbert Wilmsmeyer; and his sisters, Elda Woods and Cora Woods. Visitation will be held at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Holts Summit, Mo. from 12:00 noon until 1:00 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m., Friday, May 28, 2010 at the Shiloh United Methodist Church with the Reverend Paul Pennington officiating. Interment will be conducted at Riverview Cemetery in Jefferson City, Mo. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Shiloh United Methodist Church.
