Mr. Donald R. Sell, age 50 years, of Fulton, Mo., passed away Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at his home. Don was born November 11, 1959, in Great Bend, Kan., the son of Donald E. and Patsy Ruth Koelling Sell. He was married on September 7, 1983 in Fulton, Mo. to Glenda. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Don attended school in Clinton, Mo. He served in the United States Army from 1978 until 1980. Don had been employed for over 30 years in security with the Missouri Department of Mental Health at the Fulton State Hospital until his recent retirement in November 2009. He was an avid outdoorsmen and loved hunting, camping, fishing, and boating. Survivors include: his loving wife of 26 years, Glenda Sell, of the home; two sons, Donald P. Sell and Christopher Michael Sell, both of Fulton, Mo.; his father and step-mother, Donald E. and Lynda Sell of Independence, Mo.; three sisters, Kay Ingraffia and Steve Miller of Hewitt, Texas, Lela Gruebel and her husband Robert of Grain Valley, Mo., and Kathy Smith and her husband Danny of Jefferson City, Mo.; two step-sisters, Jill Springate and her husband Jonny of Independence, Mo. and Jeana Higginbottom of Belton, Mo.; one step-brother, Jeff Bowers and his wife Mindy of Lee's Summit, Mo; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Patsy Ruth Sell. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Friday. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, May 22, 2010, in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend R.W. Beard officiating. Graveside services and interment with military honors will be conducted at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the charity of their choice.
