Carolyn S. Dieckmann, 59, of Jefferson City, died Friday, May 14, 2010, at Capital Region Medical Center. She was born October 30, 1950, in Jefferson City, a daughter of George and Katheline Connell Colvin. She was a 1969 graduate of Jefferson City High School. On December 4, 1970, Carolyn was united in marriage in Columbia to Duane Dieckmann, who survives at their home. Carolyn graduated from Nichols Career Center in Jefferson City with a Licensed Practical Nurse Degree. Throughout her career, Carolyn worked for Charles E. Still Hospital, Memorial Community Hospital, University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics, Lake Ozark Hospital and Centralia Nursing Home. She was a member of St. Peter Catholic Church. She loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, watching wildlife and was a garage sale fanatic. Other survivors include three children: Ralph Dieckmann of Jefferson City; Christina Dieckmann (fiancEe Fred Garver) of Columbia; Jacque Dieckmann (fiancee Robert Hendren) of Mexico; two sisters: JoAnn Crowley and husband Morgan of Tebbetts; Joyce Snellen of New York, New York; and five grandchildren: Karina, Innova, Mary, Steven and David. Friends will be received from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. Monday, May 17, 2010, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Murl Nash officiating. Interment will follow at Enloe Cemetery in Russellville. Expressions of sympathy may be made to a charity of the family's choice.
