Marvin "Hugo" Brautigam, age 74, of Russellville, passed away Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City. He was born November 24, 1935, in Cole County, the son of Andy and Tracy Pistel Brautigam, both of whom preceded him in death. He was a 1954 graduate of Russellville High School. Hugo was united in marriage November 14, 1959, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville, to Janice Maier, who survives of the home. He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville. Hugo was a longtime farmer south of Russellville, and after 23 years of employment, he retired from Capital Region Medical Center as housekeeper. Hugo enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching basketball games. He will be sadly missed. Survivors include: his wife Janice, of the home; two sons, Kevin H. Brautigam with his wife Melissa of Russellville and Douglas L. Brautigam with his wife Michele of Russellville; four grandchildren, Kyle, Kourtney, Therasia and Nathan Brautigam; two brothers-in-law, Kenyon Maier of Russellville and Arnold Maier with his wife Glenda, also of Russellville; three nephews, Edward, David and Gary Maier; one niece, Sandi Maier; and great-nieces and nephews, all of Russellville. He was preceded in death, along with his parents, by one brother-in-law, August Maier Jr. Visitation will be today, Friday, May 14, 2010, from 4-7 p.m. at Weber Funeral Home, Russellville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, May 15, 2010, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Russellville with Pastor David Carlson officiating. Burial will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Russellville. Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery Fund.
