Roxie Marcella Propst, 83, of Jefferson City, died Monday, March 29, 2010, at St. Marys Health Center. She was born on May 2, 1926, in Webster County, West Virginia, the daughter of John Wesley and Malissie Susan Brooks Sandy. For 26 years, Mrs. Propst was the head cook at the Presbyterian Nursing Home in Fulton. Survivors include: two daughters and one son-in-law: Joy and Glenn Rost of Kingdom City, and Melody Griffin of Jefferson City; seven grandchildren: Melanie Hopkins, Avis Kim, Wanda Rost, Brian Rost, David Rost, Kristine Hegwood, and Daniyele Jones; 13 great-grandchildren: Kyle Hammond, Hunter Hammond, Avery Hopkins, Augustus Hopkins, Richard Rost, Aubrey Rost, Avery Rost, Austin Rost, Morgan Rost, MaKinley Rost, Malainey Rost, Angelina Jones, and Ellee Kim; one brother: Orvil Denver Sandy; and five sisters: Aretta Sandy, Alexander Sandy, Amy Ware, Margaret Davis, and Plessa Cocharan. She was preceded in death by a daughter: Juanita Douglas; a son: Freddy Propst; and two brothers: Hardie Sandy and John Sandy. Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 1, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Visitation will be 1-2 p.m. Thursday, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home. Entombment will be in Riverview Cemetery.
