Frank Finke

Mr. Frank L. Finke, Jr., age 80 years, of Jefferson City, Mo., died Thursday, March 4, 2010, at the Capital Region Medical Center. Frank was born January 22, 1930, in Meta, Mo., the son of Frank, Sr. and Mayme Lebert Finke. He was married on June 8, 1946 in New Bloomfield, Mo. to Pat Kelsay. A lifelong resident of the central Missouri area, Frank attended school in Meta and Jefferson City. He was employed with the Jefferson City Police Dept. for twenty-eight years, retiring as Captain of the Detective Division in January 1985. Frank was a member of Immaculate Conception Church. He enjoyed fishing but most importantly, spending time with his family. Survivors include: his wife of sixty-three years, Pat Finke; two sons, Kenneth Finke and his wife Joyce of Jefferson City, Mo. and Dennis Finke and his wife Carol of Jefferson City, Mo.; two daughters, Deborah Stockman and her husband Carl of Jefferson City, Mo. and Marlene Kirchner and her husband Mike of Lohman, Mo.; two sisters, Viola Hagans and her husband Robert of Ashland, Mo. and Bonnie Schneider of Fulton, Mo.; eight grandchildren and five great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Charles E. Finke, and two sisters, Marie Goza and Delores McCloud. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Monday, March 8, 2010 in the Freeman Chapel with the Reverend Patrick Dolan officiating. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. Monday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the charity of their choice. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Freeman Mortuary.
