Albert "Al" William Allgaier, 78, of Cincinnati, Ohio, formerly of Tuscumbia, Missouri, passed away Saturday, June 5, 2010, at his residence. He was born on September 21, 1931, to the late A.B."Jack" and Helen (Schultz) Allgaier in Harrisonville, Missouri. Mr. Allgaier was a 1949 graduate of Sacred Heart High School in Sedalia, Missouri and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was also a 4th Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. He married Diane (Agee) Allgaier and had five children, Timothy Allgaier of Tuscumbia, Missouri, Gretchen Heinrich and Sally Allgaier-Friedrich, both of Hamilton, Ohio, and Andrew Allgaier of Owensville, Ohio. His wife Diane and youngest son, Samuel, preceded him in death. He has one grandchild, Alan Heinrich of Hamilton, Ohio. In April of 1993, Albert was married to Shirley (Bennett) Zoernig Allgaier. She also preceded him in death. Also surviving are three step-children, Elizabeth Brewer of Clinton, Missouri, Matthew Zoernig of St. Albert, Alberta Canada, and Daniel Zoernig of St. Louis, Missouri. He has five step-grandchildren. Visitation will be on Tuesday, June 8, 2010, at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Mary's Home, Missouri from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. with a Rosary prayed at 5:00 p.m. and a Divine Mercy Chaplet prayed at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be on Wednesday, June 9, 2010, at 11:00 a.m., also at the church with Rev. Clarence Wiederholt officiating. Interment will follow at Our Lady of the Snows Cemetery in Mary's Home, Missouri, with full military honors provided at the graveside.
