William Pollock

Mr. William C. Pollock, age 28 years, of Marlton, New Jersey, a former Jefferson City resident, died Monday, January 25, 2010, at work after apparent heart failure. William was born February 7, 1981 in Tuscumbia, Mo., the son of Allen and Pat Pollock. He was married on June 14, 2008, in the Bahamas to April Dunn. William was a 1999 graduate of Helias High School and a 2003 graduate of the University of Missouri at Columbia with degrees in Anthropology and Geography. William was employed as a planner with URS Corp., a Dept. of Defense contractor, at Ft. Dix, New Jersey. Family was the most important part of the fabric of his life and he will always be remembered as a devoted husband to April. He enjoyed hunting with his brothers, uncles, and cousins. Survivors include: his wife, April Pollock; his parents, Allen and Pat Pollock of Jefferson City; one sister, Dr. Jennifer Schnieders and her husband Jay of Jefferson City; two brothers, Zach Pollock and his wife Dr. Ann Pollock of Jefferson City, and Patrick Pollock of Jefferson City, two nephews, Archer and Dawson Schnieders; his grandmother, Dard Pollock of Jefferson City; and his mother-in-law, Anne Dunn of Holts Summit. He is also survived by his beloved dog, Molly. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, William and Lilian Dowling, and Carl Allen Pollock Sr.; his father-in-law, Frank Dunn; and a brother-in-law, Stephen Dunn. Graveside services and interment will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 13, 2010, at the St. Joseph Cemetery in Rhineland, Mo. Visitation will be at Freeman Mortuary from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m., Friday, February 12, 2010, with a prayer service to be conducted by Father Rob Fields at 7:00 p.m. in the Freeman Chapel.
