Delores Ann Andert, 62, of Lohman, Mo., passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2010, at her home after losing her battle with cancer. She was born January 13, 1948, a daughter of James and Lillian Welschmeyer in Freeburg, Mo. She was a 1966 graduate of Fatima High School in Westphalia, Mo. She was united in marriage to Terence Andert at Holy Family Catholic Church in Freeburg, Mo., on January 21, 1967. Her husband preceded her in death in 2008. She was a homemaker and devoted her life to family and friends. She was a caregiver to many children throughout her life. She was an amazing cook and loved making her mother's recipes for her family. She enjoyed listening to music, singing, and reading each night. She always made every holiday very special for her family. Her greatest joys come from laughing and spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandson. She will be remembered as the strength and light in everyone's life and for her smile, faith and positive personality. She is survived by her two daughters: Patricia Bryant and her husband Chip of Russellville, and Tina Andert and her husband Mike Bischoff of Lohman; four grandchildren: Teri Ann Forck and her husband Curtis of Jefferson City, C.J. Bryant of Russellville, Jared Bischoff and Mykala Bischoff of Lohman; one great-grandson: Connor Forck; six sisters: Sharon Lock of Jefferson City, Debra Steinman of Russellville, Geralyn Byland of Jefferson City, Evelyn Christian of Jefferson City, Lisa Schulte of Jefferson City and Beverly Feeler of Vienna; three brothers: Victor Welschmeyer of Holts Summit, James Welschmeyer of Holts Summit and Dennis Welschmeyer of Jefferson City; and many loving nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by one daughter: Pamela A. Andert and one great-granddaughter: Lauren H. Forck. Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, followed by a celebration of Delores's life at 3:00 p.m. at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home.
