Alexandra Wells

Alexandra Elizabeth "Lexi" Wells, 18, of Jefferson City, passed away Saturday, January 16, 2010. Lexi was born July 21, 1991, in Jefferson City, the daughter of James and Debra Wells. Lexi was a senior at Jefferson City High School, where she was on the staff of the Marcullus yearbook and Red and Black newspaper for over two years. Lexi loved being a staff photographer and took pride in her work on these publications. She loved "hanging" out with her friends and caring for her new kitten Shesha. Lexi loved music and was learning to play the bass guitar. She is survived by her parents and one brother: Stephen Wells of the home; maternal grandmother: Mavis Ryan of Lake Ozark; uncle and aunt: Mike and Paula Sexton and family of Ozark; aunt and uncle: Paula and Jon Homan and family of Dallas, Texas; great aunts and uncle, and many cousins. Friends will be received from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 20, 2010, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, January 21, 2010, at the First Christian Church (Disciples), 327 East Capitol Avenue, with Senior Minister Rev. Donald E. Carter officiating. Private interment for the family will be held at Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy for memorial donations are being collected at the First Christian Church, 327 East Capitol Avenue, Jefferson City, MO 65101, to establish a scholarship in Lexi's name.
