Dorothy Brubaker

Dorothy Belle Brubaker, age 93, of Tipton, passed away Wednesday, February 3, 2010, at Tipton Oak Manor. She was born September 11, 1917, in Syracuse, the daughter of Emil Mosier and Carlola Vandalia King Mosier. She was married on June 31, 1938, in Sedalia, to George Glass, who preceded her in death on August 23, 1973. On July 7, 1977, in Reno, Nev., she married Joseph Brubaker, who preceded her in death on November 17, 1991. Survivors include: one son, Donald Dean Glass (Kim), of Dublin, Calif.; three daughters, Martha Oesterly (Charles), Jefferson City; Lanell McCleery (Earl), of Tipton; and Karen Sue Dawson (Joe), of Platte City; two brothers, Norman Mosier (Dorothy), of Sedalia, and Wilbur Mosier (Jeannie), of Sedalia; one sister, Marjorie Linhardt, of Sedalia; 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one daughter, Lynda Lou Glass; six brothers; and one sister. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 6, at Tipton United Methodist Church, with Rev. Richard Parker officiating. Pallbearers will be Wayne Linhardt, Brian McCleery, Bill Watkins, Kevin Osterly, Steve Hartman, and Sam Blade. Burial will be in Tipton Masonic Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at 11 a.m. at the church. Memorials are suggested to the Tipton United Methodist Church.
