Richard J. "Dick" Brandt, age 66, of Loose Creek, passed away Sunday, August 1, 2010, at Autumn Meadows Skilled Nursing Facility in Linn. Dick was born March 4, 1944, in Rich Fountain, to the late Alfred Brandt, and Josepha (Reinkemeyer) Bock, who survives of Rich Fountain. He was a 1962 graduate of Fatima High School. After graduating, Dick enlisted in the Army serving until 1968. On August 5, 1965, he was united in marriage to Inge Muth in Plankstadt, Germany. She survives of the home. Dick was a lineman for Three Rivers Electric for 38 years before retiring in 2006. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek and the IBEW. His love was rebuilding Volkswagens. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by two daughters, Christine Hoecker and her husband Greg of St. Elizabeth, and Heidi Kuttenkuler and her husband Chris of DeSoto, Kansas; four brothers, Don and his wife Christy Brandt of Linn, Joe and his wife Darlene Brandt of Loose Creek, Tom and his wife Betty Brandt of Linn, and Ralph and his wife Phyllis Brandt of Rich Fountain; three sisters, Joan Backes and her husband Hubert of Loose Creek, Caroline Pearon and her husband Donnie of Linn, and Janet Carder and her husband Jim of Enon; two grandchildren, Kyle and Jordan Hoecker; as well as many nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 4, 2010 at Immaculate Conception Church in Loose Creek followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. I.C. Medina as the celebrant. Inurnment will follow at Immaculate Conception Church Cemetery in Loose Creek.
