Gayrene Stegall

Gayrene Rose Stegall, 62, of Jefferson City, passed away Wednesday, April 21, 2010, at Golden Living Center. She was born September 21, 1947, in Colorado, a daughter of the late Geza Bertha and Irene Brannan. She was united in marriage in 1968, to Donald Patten, who preceded her in death in 1974. On February 14, 1976, she was united in marriage to Alvin Luecke, who preceded her in death on January 8, 1992. On January 21, 1996, Gayrene was united in marriage in Miami, Florida, to Jerry F. Stegall, who preceded her in death on December 5, 2003. Gayrene earned her Bachelor of Science degree as a Registered Nurse in 1992 from Columbia College. She was a registered nurse and a homemaker. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Gayrene loved her dog Scamp. She is survived by one son: Daniel Patten (wife Beth) of Holts Summit; one daughter: Patricia Schenewerk of Sunrise Beach; two sisters: Helen Watson of Columbia; Becky Carpenter of Jefferson City; and five grandchildren: Josh Schenewerk, Tyler Schenewerk, Dustin Prenger, Zachary Patten, and Daniele Patten. She was also preceded in death by a son: Russell Patten on May 2, 1974. Friends will be received from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 26, 2010, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 4618 Henwick Lane in Jefferson City, where funeral services will follow at 2:00 p.m., with Bishop Carl Hubbard officiating. Interment will follow in Hawthorn Memorial Gardens. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the charity of the families choice.
