Kelly Marie Strobel, age 33, of Russellville, passed away Thursday, April 15, 2010, peacefully at her home with her family and friends at her side. Kelly was born December 9, 1976, in Scottsdale, Ariz., the daughter of Larry and Frances Strobel. Growing up, Kelly took pride in her academics and received many accolades in track and field as a sprinter. Kelly graduated from Saguaro High School in Scottsdale, Ariz. She then attended Lincoln University and Southwest Baptist University. She worked as a clerical assistant for most of her life. Kelly was a loving mother who enjoyed being with her son, taking him on trips to the mall to play, shopping and spending quality time with her sisters and family. She was a member of Corticelli Baptist Church in Russellville. She was always ready for a good challenge and a chance to be daring. She had a fearless spirit. Her bravery and courage is an inspiration to all and will be remembered forever. Survivors include: her parents, Larry and Frances Strobel; one son, 3Ohm year old Bryce Evan Strobel-Reed; three sisters, Trish Roth and her husband Bob of Russellville, twin sister Kim Menken and her husband Jason of Jefferson City, and Heidi Loring and her husband Scott of Russellville; three nieces, Amanda and Melissa Roth, and Madison Menken. The family would like to express its gratitude to Dr. Ali Khojasteh and staff at JCMG, as well as the Oncology and Palliative Care staff at St. Mary's Health Center for their compassionate care and friendship to Kelly and the family. Visitation will be today, Sunday, April 18, 2010, from 1:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Weber Funeral Home in Russellville. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Monday, April 19, 2010, at Corticelli Baptist Church with Rev. Ryan Stiffler officiating. Burial will follow at Enloe Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that expressions of sympathy go to the Bryce Evan Strobel-Reed Education Fund, in care of the Community Bank of Russellville, 13218 Railroad Ave., Russellville, MO 65074.
