Ernest Quentin Hite, 45, of Jefferson City, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2010, at his home. He was born January 12, 1965, in Wellington, Kan., the son of the late Lewis A. and Janice (Miller) Hite. Ernest worked as an Operating Room Technician. He enjoyed working on cars and going to Capital Speedway. He also enjoyed being on his computer, cooking and barbecuing. He is survived by a sister: Pamela Block (husband Mike) of Bartlett, Tenn.; two nieces: Stephanie Block and Katie Hite, both of Jefferson City; and three nephews: Kenny Hite and Kevin Hite, both of Jefferson City, and Lewis Block of Seffner, Fla. Friends will be received from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 17, 2010, at the Houser-Millard Funeral Home, where funeral services will follow at 1:00 p.m., with Rev. Murl Nash officiating. Interment will be held in Oxford Cemetery in Oxford, Kan. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the American Cancer Society.
