Michael Kline Logsdon, 63, of Jefferson City, died Thursday, February 18, 2010, at his residence. Michael was born on Sept. 3, 1946, in Kittery, Maine, the son of Harold Kline and Erma Gertrude Mitchell Logsdon. He was a 1964 graduate of Canton (Mo.) R-5 High School and received the Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration degree from Culver-Stockton College in 1968. After serving in the United States Navy, Mr. Logsdon joined the Missouri Department of Family Services, and worked there for 40 years, retiring in 2008 as Field Support Manager. He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his nieces and nephews. Survivors include his father, H. Kline Logsdon, Canton, Mo.; four sisters, Judith (Francois) Dubois, Port Sainte Marie, France; Karen (Michael) Meyers, Atlanta, Ga.; Kelly Logsdon, Virginia Beach, Va.; and Kimberly (Stanley) Uhlmeyer, Canton, Mo.; three brothers, Patrick Logsdon, Sarasota, Fla.; Steven Logsdon, Hilo, Hawaii; and Mark (Angie) Logsdon, Ashland, Mo.; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother. Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 17, 2010, at 4 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Brent Reynolds officiating. Military honors by Otto Bruner Post #170 will follow. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. until time of services at the funeral home.
