Jays top locals at Sedalia S-C Invitational

SEDALIA, Mo. - The Jefferson City Jays finished fourth to lead area schools Monday at the Sedalia Smith-Cotton Invitational at the Sedalia Country Club.

Jefferson City totaled a 321 in the 20-team event.

Brett Trowbridge led Jefferson City with a 77 to finish tied for seventh in the individual standings.

Burke Craighead tied for 16th with an 80, while Nathan Erickson tied for 21st with an 81 and Austin Siebeneck tied for 30th with an 83 for the Jays.

Helias was eighth as a team with a 338.

Cole Higgins finished with a 79 for the Crusaders to tie for 11th. Dalton Roark and Ethan Johnson both shot 86s to tie for 38th, while Curtis Campbell and Lane Plunkett both recorded 87s to tie for 41st.

The Blair Oaks Falcons finished 14th with a 356.

Jake Van Ronzelen carded an 82 to tie for 27th for the Falcons. Kyle Backes shot an 85 to tie for 32nd, while Brayden Pemberton had an 89 to tie for 49th and Jared Siebeneck had a 100 to finish 75th.

The Tipton Cardinals finished 17th with a 405.

Triston Bolin finished with an 87 to lead the Cardinals in a tie for 41st. Brock Bookout added a 98 to tie for 70th, while Bryant Carpenter finished with a 109 to tie for 81st and Mitch Moon had a 111 to take 87th.

Rock Bridge took team honors with a 304, 12 shots better than runner-up Logan-Rogersville. Lincoln was third with a 319.

Jefferson City and Helias are back in action Wednesday in the Camdenton Invitational.

Blair Oaks will play Wednesday in the Southern Boone Invitational.

Tipton will play Thursday at the Kaysinger Conference Tournament in Cole Camp.
