Boys Basketball: Van-Far 71, South Callaway 66

MOKANE - The South Callaway Bulldogs led by five after the first quarter, but Van-Far used strong second and third quarters to win 71-66 on Tuesday.

The Bulldogs led 23-18 after the first eight minutes and 36-35 at halftime. The Indians took a 54-47 lead into the fourth quarter.

Dylan Lepper scored a team-high 15 points for South Callaway to go along with seven rebounds.

Blake Parker chipped in 12 points, and Kaden Helsel and Peyton Leeper each scored 11.

Bennett Hager finished with seven points and 10 rebounds.

South Callaway (0-1) is back in action Sunday in the Norm Stewart Classic at Columbia College.

The Bulldogs will face Hallsville at midnight, the first of nine Sunday games.
