BLUE SPRINGS - The Jefferson City Lady Jays placed first out of eight teams in the Blue Springs Doubles Invitational on Friday.
The Lady Jays finished with 23 team points, beating out Lee's Summit, Lee's Summit West, Lee's Summit North, Barstow, Grain Valley, Blue Springs and Blue Springs South.
All four doubles teams finished the day with 2-1 records.
Rani Patel and Kenedy Fischer led the way with a second-place finish in the D flight, Sandhiya Baskar and Akhi Donthireddy finished third in the A flight, Jaden Harper and Lauren Statler finished third in the C flight and Madelyn Becker and Sudhi Kumar finished fifth in the B flight.
Jefferson City (9-5) returns to action Tuesday against Marshall at Washington Park.
