Cross Country: Capital City finishes third at Invitational

FULTON - The Capital City Cavaliers finished third Saturday at the Fulton Cross Country Invitational.

Capital City finished with 84 team points in the 17-team event. Helias was first with 36, while Fatima was second with 68.

Ben Lear was eighth to lead the Cavaliers, finishing in 18:06.85. Braden Voss was 11th in 18:33.55, while Peyton Voght was 30th in 18:40.78. Colin Voss was 30th (19:16.23), while Will Carver was 33rd (19:31.44). Parker Nobel (20:00.23) and Oliver Sapp (20:00.55) were 43rd and 44th, respectively.

On the girls side, Capital City finished fifth with 161 points. Fatima was first with 74, while Helias (102) and Centralia (109) rounded out the top three in the 15-team field.

Yumia Robben paced Capital City by finishing fifth in 21:43.77. Alyson Linhardt was 17th (22:50.08), with Gwyn DeFeo was 42nd (24:41.77). Carrington Stillabower (26:00.38) and Kate Faherty (26:11.43) were 60th and 64th, respectively.
