Girls Golf: Lady Jays tie for fifth at Mo-Kan Invite

KANSAS CITY - The Jefferson City Lady Jays tied for fifth Monday at the Mo-Kan Invitational at Blue Hills Country Club.

Jefferson City shot a 390, as did Lee's Summit West. St. Joseph's Academy was first in the 19-team event with a 307, five strokes better than Notre Dame de Sion. Liberty (360) and Liberty North (385) were third and fourth, respectively.

Grafton Craighead led Jefferson City with a 92 to finish 19th. Grace Craighead shot a 94, while Camryn Swinfard totaled a 97 and Ryann Schenewerk finished with a 107.

Capital City had three golfers play Monday in the Invitational.

Taylor Hovis shot a 108 to lead the Cavaliers. Madeline Thomson added a 126, while Kylie Reed had a 153.
