Weather forecast alters slate of basketball games

The forecast for snow Friday and Saturday has forced several basketball games to be rescheduled.

The Helias boys basketball team will play its road game against Rolla today instead of Friday. The JV game will start at 5:30 p.m. with the varsity to follow around 7 p.m.

The originally scheduled freshman game will not be played because of a scheduling conflict and could be rescheduled.

The Blair Oaks Falcons have also moved their home game against Versailles up a day. The Falcons and Tigers will get tonight's Tri-County Conference action started at 5 p.m. with the freshman contest. The JV game will start around 6:15 p.m. with the varsity game beginning around 7:30 p.m.

The final day of the Comet Classic girls basketball tournament at Fatima has also been moved up from Friday to today.

The seventh-place game will start at 4 p.m., followed by the fifth-place game at 5:30 p.m., the third-place game at 7 p.m. and the championship game at 8:30 p.m.

The schedules for the girls and boys tournaments at California have not changed. The winner's bracket and loser's bracket semifinal games for the boys tournament are still scheduled to be played today with the trophy games for both tournaments being played Saturday.
