WEAUBLEAU - The St. Elizabeth Lady Hornets fell 70-51 to Wheatland in the opening round of the Class 1 District 7 Tournament on Monday night.
St. Elizabeth led 17-16 after the first quarter before second-seeded Wheatland came back to take a 36-24 lead at the half.
Maddie Wilde finished with 12 points to lead seventh-seeded St. Elizabeth (8-16), while Sheldon Holtmeyer and Harley Engelmeyer added nine points each. Andrea Schaffer chipped in with eight.
