Boys Basketball: Missouri HomeSchool takes third in tourney

The Missouri HomeSchool Mavericks posted a 2-1 record Friday and Saturday in the Missouri HomeSchool Tournament, taking third place.

On Friday, the Mavericks opened with a 48-42 win against Lebanon HomeSchool. Shelomi Miner, Christopher Willouer and Noah Haskamp each finished with a team-high 12 points.

In the semifinals Saturday, Missouri HomeSchool lost 61-36 to St. Louis Christian. Haskamp scored eight points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead the Mavericks.

In the third-place game, Missouri HomeSchool dominated the second half of a 62-51 win against the St. Louis Patriots. Haskamp scored a team-high 18 points, while Miner and Willouer added 14 and 10 points, respectively.

Missouri HomeSchool has a 13-9 record this season.
