The majority of the games scheduled today are girls contests, including the start of the Class 3 District 9 Tournament at Linn.

The eight-team event — with California, Blair Oaks, Fatima and South Callaway holding down the top four seeds — will begin at 4 p.m. Games will continue through the day, with the finale scheduled for an 8:30 p.m. tip.

The Eldon Lady Mustangs and Versailles Lady Tigers are scheduled to start Class 3 District 10 Tournament play today in Clinton.

A pair of Class 2 girls tournaments will begin today as well.

At Sturgeon, the District 7 Tournament features Russellville and New Bloomfield. The Tipton Lady Cardinals are the top-seed in the District 14 Tournament starting today at Stover.

In Class 1, the District 7 Tournament with the Tuscumbia Lady Lions and St. Elizabeth Lady Hornets will start today in Weaubleau. Jamestown and Chamois are slated to start play in the District 9 Tournament in Pilot Grove.

The boys tournaments in all of these districts are scheduled to begin Tuesday.

The lone boys tournament scheduled for today is Class 2 District 8 at Laquey where third-seeded Eugene will take on sixth-seeded Vienna in the final of four games at 8:30 p.m.

The girls portion of the District 8 Tournament was scheduled to be played Saturday, but was called off due to weather. It will now start Tuesday.
