Boys Basketball: Lutheran North 60, Helias 47

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Helias Crusaders didn't let the Lutheran North Crusaders get too far ahead. Then the fourth quarter started.

Lutheran North scored 26 points in the final eight minutes to pull away from Helias in a 60-47 win Saturday afternoon in the Missouri Sports Hall of Fame Classic at Father Tolton.

Lutheran North held a slim 11-10 lead after the first quarter. At halftime, Lutheran North led by a point (23-22) and took a 34-30 advantage into the fourth quarter.

Ben Cooper scored 14 of his 23 points in the first half to lead Helias (11-10), which plays Tuesday at Jefferson City.

Helias held on for a 58-55 win in its first matchup against the Jays last month at Rackers Fieldhouse.
