Prep Baseball: St. Elizabeth 6, Belle 1

BELLE, Mo. - Dylan Wobbe hit a pair of home runs Monday as the St. Elizabeth Hornets defeated the Belle Tigers 6-1.

Wobbe had a three-run home run, then added a solo shot in the sixth inning. That was the second of consecutive home runs for the Hornets, coming after Coltin Green hit a solo home run of his own.

Wobbe, Green, Brock Lucas and Carson Kesel had two hits each for the Hornets. Lucas scored a run, while Kesel had an RBI.

Nolan Heckemeyer was the starter and winner for St. Elizabeth. He pitched six innings, allowing one earned run on four hits and four walks while striking out six. Kesel pitched the seventh, allowing a walk and striking out one.

St. Elizabeth (10-1) will host Linn today.
