Prep Baseball: Russellville wins tourney

NEW BLOOMFIELD, Mo. - The Russellville Indians won the New Bloomfield Fall Classic on Saturday after a 12-1 win against Bunceton in five innings and a 5-3 victory against Eugene.

Mason Stewart and Matthew Miller each had two hits against Eugene. Stewart, Braden Hickey and Riley Marcum each had an RBI.

Hickey went three innings on the mound, allowing an earned run with a walk and three strikeouts. Dawson Koch went three innings, allowing two runs on two hits with two walks and four strikeouts.

Trenton Morrow had four hits and two RBI against Bunceton. Stewart and Nick Thompson each had a hit and two RBI.

Landon Plochberger pitched the first two innings, allowing an unearned run on two hits with four strikeouts. Stewart surrendered three hits and struck out two in two scoreless innings and Logan Cinotto pitched a perfect fifth.

Russellville (9-1) play Monday at Vienna.
