HARRISONVILLE, Mo. - The Versailles Tigers nearly cut their halftime deficit in half by the end of the third quarter, but the Hogan Prep Rams answered in the fourth quarter to win 82-65 in Wednesday's Class 3 sectional contest.
Versailles led 5-1 in the early going, but Hogan Prep went ahead 27-13 at the end of the first quarter and 48-25 at halftime.
The Tigers were down 59-47 in the final minute of the third quarter, but could not get any closer against the second-ranked Rams (23-4).
Versailles was led by Jonathan Geier, who scored 23 points in his final game. Coby Williams was right behind him with 22 points for the Tigers, who finish the season with a 16-13 record. Wyatt Espinosa added eight points.
