CALIFORNIA, Mo. - The California Lady Pintos had their 10-point halftime lead dwindle to one Monday, but they held on for a 62-53 win against the Fatima Lady Comets.
The Lady Pintos trailed 13-10 after one quarter, but they outscored the Lady Comets 24-11 in the second quarter to lead 34-24 at the break.
Fatima held California to eight points in the third quarter, trailing just 42-41 entering the fourth quarter.
Elizabeth Lutz led the Lady Pintos with 22 points. Tristan Porter also reached double figures with 18 points. California shot 19-of-22 from the free-throw line.
Courtney Wolfe finished with a game-high 27 points for the Lady Comets, while Bridget Holterman chipped in 14 points.
California (14-4) hosts Eldon on Feb. 1. Fatima (13-5) plays Thursday at St. Elizabeth.
